| Cowatec biogas plants are available in the standard sizes of 300, 500, 700, 1000 and 1500, whereby the number refers to the respective power of the combined heating and power station. Individual sizes can also be supplied where required. Cowatec produces modular biogas plants in virtually all sizes. Nawaro plants The main field of application is agriculture. The input materials for Nawaro biogas plants (renewable raw materials) are silage from energy-producing crop silage such as maize and wheat, or grass. Apart from this, manure and dung are also used. These plants are often operated as dry fermentation plants. Cofermentation plants Cofermentation plants use renewable raw materials as well as the energy content of commercial waste, such as fats, food waste, brewer's grain or slaughterhouse waste. Industrial biogas plants It is the object of industrial biogas plants to sensibly dispose of commercial and household waste. Typical input materials are fat residues, food waste, and slaughterhouse waste, as well as materials from paper production or biological waste recycling.
