| MethaPlus is a enzyme compound that is added to the biomass in the fermenters of Nawaro biogas plants and sewage plants. By means of its biochemical effect, it supports the gas- producing bacteria in the processing of biomass that is rich in raw fibre and expands the bacteria's range of nutrients. This increase the gas yield and consequently the profitability of the plants. At the same time, MethaPlus increases process stability. The effectiveness of this "enzyme-turbo" has been proved several times scientifically, both in laboratory and field tests. MethaPlus was developed by the Berlin-based biotechnology company Biopract and is marketed by Cowatec.
