The Biogas Plant Optimisation Program (bop) service includes:
- Initial consultation and onsite visits:
Definition and evaluation of the microbiological and technical condition of the biogas plant by determining the process parameters.
- Laboratory analyses with diagnosis:
Based upon the laboratory results, the Cowatec specialists decide upon the individual optimisation strategies for the biology, technology and process management of the plant. An example is the good mixing of the fermenter contents, which is a prerequisite for a high production level of biogas. The objective here is to prevent floating and sinking layers and to equally distribute freshly added substrate.
- Recommended action:
Consultation about the biomass input and maintenance plans, as well as biological improvement by means of supplementary process additives. Apart from an increased gas yield, substances such as the enzyme preparation MethaPlus assist in stabilising the process.
- Optimisation of process management:
Consistent process monitoring by means of detailed data capture in the daily operational log and constant comparison of single parameters with similar plants permit a horizontal and vertical plant comparison.
- Operator training:
Cowatec regularly invites the biogas plant operators and their personnel to seminars. Technical consulting about input, energy cropping, biological process optimisation and technical maintenance are the main topics covered here.
